The Problem

Many young travelers who want to connect with people and explore a place culture feels not knowing the roots and the local culture deeply when visiting. These travelers need the possibility to experience an authentic connection when traveling a place, and be able to know the local popular places when visiting.

The Solution

Offer users a travel planning app focused on the interaction between locals and visitors to help young travelers who want to explore deeply the culture one destination can provide to know the local, authentic and popular places to visit.

My Role UX/UI Designer (Individual Project)

Tools used Adobe XD, InVision, Miro, Figma

First steps of user research.

I was required to research about young users needs when planning a trip and also to prototype the onboarding process and a feature for this new app. To start this process five users interviews were conducted to obtain new information from users and to validate some assumptions. Next, an affinity diagram and empathy map were created to define the user persona.

After creation of user scenario and journey map.

Once defined user possible scenarios and journey map, a value proposition was concluded to proceed to the creation of first paper prototypes. Here is the evolution from sketches to digital prototypes.

The Final Solution.

User testings were conducted during low-fidelity, mid-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes to validate assumptions and identify possible issues.
